SOLO ALBUMS

MUSIC FOR BIODOMES

Released on July 8, 2021 on the occasion of my 50th birthday, MUSIC FOR BIODOMES represents my debut full-length album of solo compositions.

The project falls broadly within the 'electronica' genre, but which includes string instrumentation, as well as manipulated field recordings of found sounds. It features the flavorful talents of my former Rachel's bandmates Christian Frederickson (viola) and Eve Miller (cello), Louisville musicians Amber Thieneman (FOOL’S GHOST) and Simon Furnish (ADDULTS), and actors Stephen Webber (SITI Company) and Susan Hughes.

It was mixed and mastered by the ever-bioluminescent Kevin Ratterman at INVISIBLE CREATURE in Los Angeles.

Some tracks involve spoken word performances, with the texts deriving from numerous sources, namely:
- The play "Adam and Evie", by Charles Mee
- A scientific paper by an astronomer Eric Mamajek, who leads the division on Exoplanet research at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory
- A pathology report in 2014 showing that the chemotherapy treatment I had been receiving for cancer had worked well

The album is available on bandcamp as a high-quality digital download:
